Girlfriends is an American comedy-drama sitcom that premiered on September 11, 2000, on UPN and aired on UPN’s successor network, The CW, before being cancelled in 2008.

Girlfriends revolves around the friendships of four African-American women from different walks of life. They explore the many trials and tribulations that most women face today, such as relationships, family, friends and other hot topics that interest universal women.

The final episode aired on February 11, 2008.
